So What is a 34 Point Inspection?
Here is the complete list of everything that will be inspected on your tractor.
We rate it from good condition to repair immediately for your knowledge.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT, CAB AND CONTROLS
1. Check for open service bulletins and recalls
2. Inspect all safety and operational decals
3. Inspect ROPS and seat belts
4. Inspect and adjust clutch, foot brakes, park brake and foot throttle
5. Inspect operator station controls work including lights, switches, gauges etc.
6. Inspect all transmission shift levers including forward, reverse, range, speed shifter, shuttle, 4WD, PTO etc.
7. Inspect cab heater and A/C
8. Inspect loader functionality (if equipped)
9. Inspect backhoe functionality (if equipped)
10. Inspect mower functionality (if equipped)
FUEL SYSTEM
11. Inspect fuel line for wear, leaks and kinks
12. Inspect fuel cap, filters and vent for leaks and damage
COOLING SYSTEM
13. Clean radiator cooling fins and inspect for leaks
14. Clean screens and inspect for damage
15. Inspect hoses for leaks and tighten clamps
16. Inspect and clean front grill
ENGINE & ELECTRICAL
17. Inspect air filter for damage and clean if required
18. Inspect belt and fan for damage
19. Inspect wiring harnesses for wear and damage
20. Inspect battery for corrosion and tights terminals and hold downs
EMISSIONS (TIER 4)
21. Inspect exhaust system for visible and audible leaks
22. Inspect DEF supply module and tank for leaks and wiring damage (7000, 8000, 9000 series tractors)
23. Update powertrain software (if needed)
LUBRICANTS & FLUIDS
24. Verify transmission, engine, brake and power steering fluids are clean and at correct level
25. Verify antifreeze/coolant is clean, level and at correct density
26. Inspect transmission, engine and front axle for leaks
HYDRAULICS
27. Inspect hydraulic system cylinder, valves, lines, hoses, and filters for kinks, leaks and damage
28. Verify loader valve, 3-pt hydraulic lift and rear remotes function properly
29. Verify hydrostatic pedals return to neutral and operate through their full range of motion
CHASSES & FRONT AXLE
30. Inspect for irregular tire wear, rim damage and adjust tire pressure
31. Inspect and tighten rim fasteners
32. Inspect and tighten all loader and backhoe frame hardware
33. Grease all lubrication points
34. Inspect for visible damage to chassis frame and axles
